Before shutting down the computer, always close Librid first: type exit on the keyboard, or use a specific Exit-card to shut down.

After Librid has been closed, you can turn off the computer normally. Choose Shut down or Turn off from the Windows menu, and wait for the computer to shut down; the screen will be completely black. It is now safe to turn off the main power switch.
