It is possible to send SMS messages from Librid. This requires a separate GSM modem to be installed and connected with a Master controller. Multiple Librid devices can be connected to the same Master controller and thus use a single GSM modem, and only one SIM card and subscription.

The library may use their own cellular subscription. Regular SMS fees apply just as with any mobile phone.
